Luke Petias Frimpong

Luke Petias Frimpong (he/his/him) is a graduate student at the Department of Anthropology, University of New Brunswick. His M.A. research uses ethnography and material culture studies to investigate how African Kente and Adinkra textiles traditions have been transformed into objects of cultural and economic value, as they have been produced and circulated in global African arts and crafts markets. His research interests are cultural property, cultural resource management, Indigenous knowledge expressions, and folklore. Luke is a Ghanaian and holds a BA in Archaeology from the University of Ghana, Legon.
